House Votes TODAY (Thursday) on Iraq $165B - Call NOW Late Wednesday, House "Democratic" Leader Steny Hoyer announced a deal with George Bush to give him $165B more for Iraq without bringing a single soldier home. And Hoyer wants the Democratic Congress to pass the bill today (Thursday) - before the 68% of Americans who oppose the disastrous occupation get ourselves organized. So please pick up the phone right now and tell your House Representative to vote NO on wasting $165 billion more in Iraq. Call the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask for your House Representative (not Senators) by name, or find your House Representative's name and direct dial by entering your address on the right side: On May 15, your passionate calls persuaded 149 Representatives to vote NO, and we shocked Steny Hoyer by winning that vote 149-141. We can win again if you call today. Don't accept any excuses from your Representative. If (s)he says (s)he is voting yes to fund new GI college benefits, flood relief, and unemployment benefits, tell your Representative those programs have overwhelming support and should be passed separately, not combined with $165B for Iraq. Tell your Representative you will only accept a NO vote on Iraq funds. After you call, share your Representative's response with your neighbors by logging in to Democrats.com. (If you've never created a Democrats.com login, be sure to provide your voting address so we can find your Congressional District.) Robert Wexler (D-FL) launched WexlerWantsHearings.com to persuade Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Judiciary Chairman John Conyers to hold hearings on Rep. Wexler was the first Democrat to co-sponsor Dennis Kucinich's 35 Articles of Impeachment against George Bush (see below). Now it's our turn to support a Democratic hero by pre-ordering Congressman Robert's Wexler's new book Fire-Breathing Liberal. Last week, Democrats.com members pushed Fire-Breathing Liberal right to the top of Amazon best-seller list. Let's do it again and show Washington that Robert Wexler speaks for us! ___________________ Kucinich's 35 Articles of Impeachment Gain Support, Need More Co-Sponsors
In just six days, over 25,000 of you emailed your Representatives to co-sponsor the 35 Articles: The first three co-sponsors were Robert Wexler (FL19), Lynn Woolsey (CA06), and Barbara Lee (CA09). The charges presented by Rep. Kucinich are so serious that every Member of Congress should demand Judiciary Committee hearings by becoming a co-sponsor. Here's what you can do to persuade your Representative: ##### Forward this message to everyone you know! House Votes TODAY on Iraq $165B - Call NOW
Tuesday, June 17, 2008
I signed "Wiretapping Impeachment not Immunity"
I just sent a personal message to all my representatives in Congress, I hope you will join me!
http://www.democrats.com/peoplesemailnetwork/141?source=brian%40reymoorhouse.com
I signed "Wiretapping Impeachment not Immunity"
I am appalled that House "Majority" Leader Steny Hoyer has cut a deal with George Bush to legalize Bush's warrantless wiretapping and grant immunity to the telephone companies that have engaged in massive illegal wiretapping for the past 7 years.
We now know Bush enlisted the telephone companies to engage in illegal warrantless wiretapping in Feburary 2001 - shortly after he stole the White House and long before the 9/11 attack that supposedly justified this and many other criminal actions by the Bush Administration.
I am disgusted that Rep. Hoyer has put campaign contributions from AT&T, Verizon, and BellSouth ahead of my Constitutional right to be free from government spying.
I call on my Senators to demonstrate your respect for my Constitutional rights by putting this horrendous and unconstitutional bill on hold - permanently. And I call on you to use your power of "inherent contempt" to arrest those White House officials who failed to deliver the many documents and witnesses demanded by Senator Leahy and the Judiciary Committee in their investigation of Bush's illegal wiretapping.
I also call on my Representative to co-sponsor Articles of Impeachment for George Bush (H. Res. 1258) and Dick Cheney (H. Res. 799) for their illegal wiretapping, as well as torture, Iraq War lies, outing Valerie Plame, and other High Crimes - the most heinous Presidential crimes in American history.

Thank You
Support marriage equality for all!
Do you want to live in a country that legalizes discrimination?
Despite the recent California Supreme Court decision that
denying same-sex couples the right to marry is unconstitutional,
efforts are underway throughout the country to take away rights
from same-sex couples.
I just joined thousands of others in showing my support for
marriage equality for all. But recently, proponents of bigotry
and hate collected even more signatures in an attempt to
invalidate the California Supreme Court decision. And they won't
stop with California - extremists are even trying to add a ban
of marriage for same-sex couples to the U.S. Constitution.
We are at a turning point in our nation's history and I'm hoping
you'll set aside your personal prejudices and/or religious
beliefs and join me in standing up against discrimination.
Please sign the Million for Marriage petition and get us one
name closer to showing that Americans overwhelmingly support
marriage equality!
http://www.MillionForMarriage.org
Every committed couple deserves to enjoy the privileges and
responsibilities conferred by marriage. Add your name to the
petition and be a part of the movement to fight for marriage
equality for all.
Thank you!
