So why does it seem so easy to focus on the numerous reasons we can't do something? After all, conscious manifesters get what they want because they only allow themselves to focus on how something can be done.
James Arthur Ray, whom you may know from the movie The Secret, suggests a technique he calls the "Next Technique".
Here is an excerpt from a recent e-zine article by James:
'Here's how it works. When a negative idea or reason slips into your mind, as silly as it may seem, I want you to say (out loud) "NEXT!" and quickly move back to the right side of your paper... to the ways that you can accomplish your goal.'
James goes on to explain the similarities in growing a garden, stating that paying attention to -- and caring for -- the weeds in your garden are tantamount feeding the negativity in your psyche and, ultimately, in your life experiences.
A proper support group is also an excellent way to surround yourself with the positive, fun people you need to help you foster your positive thoughts and feelings.
Consider volunteering on your community, going for walks in your "nice neighborhood" or join your local Bodhi Group to help you realize your potential.
Getting out and being a positive part of your community has many benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and stroke, improved disease resistance and elevated feelings of happiness -- the rewards are incalculable.
